The North American Model United Nations (NAMUN) is Canada’s pre-eminent university level MUN and draws delegations from around the world.
As Canada’s oldest national Model United Nations conference, NAMUN has prospered and hosted many diplomats, academics, officers of the military, business leaders and thousands of students from across the globe.
Our upcoming conference will be held on February 21, 2012 and it promises to be our most successful conference to date, as it will engage over 300 students and scholars worldwide in a debate on a wide variety of global issues. Independently student-run, the conference strives to familiarize students with the working structure of the UN, the dynamics of international diplomacy and the most topical issues of the day.
NAMUN prides itself in the provision of small, close-knit and interactive committee sessions to all delegates, in a setting where all delegates, whether experienced or new, have an opportunity to listen, learn, and be heard. Students from universities and colleges around the world gather in Toronto, Canada to meet and debate about problems facing the world today, from security and development to human rights to economic progress. The 27th session of North American Model United Nations in Toronto invites you to exercise your mind and your diplomatic skills, to build networks with fellow students from across North America and around the world.
