FALL STAFF POSITIONS

Positions Available: 15
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week
Reports to: Co-Directors of Procedures and Training + respective Branch Director
The Moderator leads the committee in its deliberations by ensuring that all delegates adhere to the parliamentary rules of procedures. Moderators will also work closely with members of their committee team, including the Chair (and Crisis Manager) to integrate academic content and relevant updates. Moderators will be trained by the Co-Director of Procedures and Training, in advance of the conference, to ensure they can be the authoritative voice on procedure. Ideal candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and interested in developing strong oral communication skills.
Moderators are expected to:
Facilitate committee debate in a fair and professional manner
Be familiar with the Rules of Procedure of NAMUN 2024, and be able to address any procedural questions from delegates
Interact with delegates, addressing issues and concerns in the committee room
Lead a committee of 15-60 delegates, together with the Chair(s)
Attend weekly training sessions (from October to February)
Be present for the entirety of the conference

Time commitment: 2-4 hours per week, hours may vary depending on time of year
Reports to: Deputy Secretary-General, Content, respective Branch Director, and respective Crisis Coordinator
Crisis Managers are in charge of coordinating the progression of crisis situations within their committee. They assume a role in leadership and oversee the development of the committee. They also manage and engage their analysts before and throughout the conference. They make decisions pertaining to directives and requests for information as they arise. Ideal candidates should be organized, focused, quick on their feet, and adept at addressing unexpected problems.
Crisis Managers are expected to:
Manage a team of Crisis Analysts in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain regular communication between their committee room and crisis room.
Be familiar with the academic content of the committee topic(s).
Attend regularly scheduled meetings (from July to February).
Be present for the entirety of the conference.
There will be 1 assigned Crisis Manager for each Specialized Agency or Crisis Committe description

Positions Available: 40-45
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours per week
Reports to: Director of Crisis Committees, Director of Specialized Agencies, Crisis and Specialized Coordinators (depending on Branch assignment)
Crisis Analysts are in charge of engaging with delegates in Crisis and Specialized Agencies committees to ensure that delegates are given a stimulating and exciting experience. Crisis Analysts will have the opportunity to be involved in all manner of interesting work, from preparing mock press releases and managing real-time crisis reports to delivering intelligence briefs and role-playing. Before the conference, analysts will help in the research process to determine the academic content of the committee. In the past this has included developing processes for realistic simulations of market economies and judicial processes, as well as historical research into the appropriate characters for the committee. Ideal candidates are organized and creative team players who can thrive in high-stress environments.
Crisis Analysts are expected to:
Be able to develop creative yet realistic crises in response to delegate actions within the framework of a broader story arc for the committee
Attend weekly or bi-weekly training sessions (from October to February)
Be familiar with the academic content of their assigned topic
Work cooperatively with Crisis Managers and other Crisis Analysts in a fast-paced environment
Be present for the entirety of the conference

- Reports to: Deputy Secretary-General, Content, Director of Specialized Agencies, and the ICJ President
The ICJ Vice-President will be the chief aide to the President for both committee content and management. During the pre-conference period they will help in preparing the cases for the delegates and assist in compiling witness lists and evidence. During the conference they will act as a Moderator for the committee and ensure that Rules of Procedure and Protocols are being maintained. The ICJ Vice-President will also work closely with members of their committee team, including the President (and Registrar) to integrate academic content and relevant updates. Ideal candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and interested in developing strong oral communication skills.
The ICJ Vice-President is expected to:
- Assist the ICJ President in an administrative manner with case research.
- Facilitate committee debate in a fair and professional manner.
- Be familiar with the ICJ Rules of Procedure of NAMUN 2025, and be able to address any procedural questions from delegates.
- Interact with delegates, addressing issues and concerns in the committee room.
- Lead a committee of 12-16 delegates, together with the President.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the ICJ panel.
- Be present for the entirety of the conference. -

- Reports to: Deputy Secretary-General, Content, Director of Specialized Agencies, and the ICJ President
The ICJ Registrar will aid the President and Vice-President in conveying content to the delegates and during the conference they will swear in Agents and Witnesses. They will be the direct manager to the staff Witnesses and will move in and out of the committee room in order to coordinate between staff and delegates.The ICJ Registrar will also make decisions pertaining to delegates’ requests as they arise. Working closely both with staff and delegates, ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and interested in collaboration.
The ICJ Registrar is expected to:
- Assist in the preparation of academic and training materials.
- Compile and circulate lists of stipulations, evidence and memorandum(s) as they are submitted.
- Handle evidence and administer oaths during committee session.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the ICJ panel.
- Be present for the entirety of the conference.
