Secretary-General

Christopher is a third-year student studying International Relations and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. Since becoming a delegate six years ago, MUN has sparked his love for international politics and introduced him to his closest friends. He looks forward to bringing together the strengths of NAMUN staff to take the conference to new heights, and is excited to see delegates' innovative ideas.

He’s always up for a conversation about history, music, or what the next cabinet shuffle might look like!

Senior Advisor

Jessica is a fifth year student double majoring in Political Science and Criminology & Sociolegal Studies. She is honoured to be returning to NAMUN for her fifth year as Senior Advisor and looks forward to supporting the Secretariat in planning a memorable conference.

Outside of NAMUN, Jessica likes going to cafes with friends, taking photos with her digicam, and listening to music to drown out her thoughts.

Senior Advisor

Ridhima (she/her) just graduated double majoring in Economics and International Relations from the University of Toronto and is currently working in Investment. Her MUN journey dates back to elementary school, and last year she served as NAMUN's Director-General External Affairs. This year, she's excited to return for her fourth year at NAMUN as the 2027 Senior Advisor!

When loves socializing with friends, taking long evening walks and trying new food. She looks forward to ensuring a memorable NAMUN experience for all staff and delegates!

Deputy Secretary-General, Content

Safiyyah (she/her) is an incoming fourth-year double majoring in Political Science and History. This is her fourth year at NAMUN, and she is excited to return as this year's Deputy Secretary General of Content! Safiyyah has a special interest in international and human rights law, post-colonial history, and should probably be studying for the LSAT.

While avoiding all contact with her LSAT textbook, Safiyyah can be found thrifting somewhere on Queen Street, trying new restaurants, or enjoying the summer with a good book. She looks forward to working with all NAMUN staff to build an interesting and thought-provoking conference and seeing delegates' resolutions!

Deputy Secretary-General, Operations

David (he/him) is a fourth year student at the University of Toronto, studying Commerce, History and Economics. He has long been involved in Model United Nations, and NAMUN 2027 will be his twelfth time staffing a conference.

Outside of his studies and MUN, David is interested in a wide variety of subjects, and occupies his free time with reading, writing, watching sports, shows and listening to music.

Director-General External Affairs

Hannah (she/her) is a fourth-year student specializing in Finance and Economics, with a Focus in Data Science in Business. This is her fourth year at NAMUN, and she is thrilled to serve as the Director-General of External Affairs. She looks forward to engaging with both staff and delegates, and to seeing the NAMUN 2027 conference come to life.

In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, solving puzzles, and working behind the scenes in theatre!

Treasurer

Ivy (she/her) is a third-year Rotman Commerce student at the University of Toronto, with a minor in history. Her journey with Model United Nations began in 2020, when she was instantly captivated by the amazing experiences and incredible opportunities it provided. Since then, she has joined her high school's MUN club before staffing conferences in university. Previously, she served as Crisis Coordinator for NAMUN 2025 and Director of Corporate Relations for NAMUN 2026.

This year, she's excited to make more memories as Treasurer for NAMUN 2027. In her free time, she enjoys reading new books, watching films, and being creative.

Director of Corporate Relations

Youni (she/her) is a fourth-year student double majoring in Political Science and Environmental Studies. Having been involved in Model United Nations since middle school, MUN has truly sparked her passion for diplomacy, collaborative leadership, and building meaningful connections. Over the years, she has participated in conferences as both a delegate and a secretariat member—experiences that have strengthened her appreciation for the MUN community and the opportunities it creates. She is thrilled to return as the Director of Corporate Relations for NAMUN 2027 and looks forward to building new partnerships, strengthening existing relationships, and working alongside an incredible team to make this year’s conference the best one yet.

Outside of academics, Youni enjoys cheering on her favorite baseball team, hitting the golf course, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She also loves discovering new cafés, traveling whenever she gets the chance, and is always happy to chat about sports, international affairs, or the best cafés and restaurants on her list!

Director of General Assemblies

Taewon (he/him) is in his PEY Co-op year and a Mechanical Engineering student excited to serve as the branch director for General Assemblies at NAMUN 2027, which will mark his 11th year in Model UN (starting from middle school through to today) and is eager to share the valuable knowledge and experience he learnt with all NAMUN staff and delegates

Beyond MUN and academics, Taewon loves discovering new cafes, planespotting, and devouring the “last plate” at KBBQ spots. Ask him about a low-flying plane in the sky, and he’ll tell you the airline and aircraft!

Director of Specialized Agencies

Lucca (he/him) is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where he studied International Relations and Law & Society. His interests include international security, warfare, military strategy, defence policy, artificial intelligence, and diplomacy. He has worked with CASIS Vancouver, Human Rights Watch, and Gen(Z)AI, and has served as a delegate, chair, and director across numerous Model United Nations conferences.

Outside of MUN, he is an academic tutor, independent researcher, and novelist currently working on a political speculative fiction manuscript. He is excited to serve as Director of Specialized Agencies at NAMUN and help create an ambitious and memorable committee experience.

Co-Director of Crisis Committees

Joseph (he/him) is a third year Engineering Science Student at U of T! He will be the Co-director of Crisis. This is his fourth year with NAMUN and he hopes to make the 2027 iteration the engaging, fun, and exhilarating experience NAMUN has always been.

Outside of MUN, you can find him cramming assignments in Bahen, eating his way through Chinatown, or on the lake.

Co-Director of Crisis Committees

Wajid (he/him) is going into his second year of his master’s global affairs at the Munk School and is your Co-Head of Crisis Committees. He's been a delegate since Grade 10, attending many conferences like NMUN in New York, and has planned conferences at both uOttawa and U of T. At NAMUN, he is most looking forward to fun, memorable crisis committees that allow delegates to learn about highly relevant issues in today’s world.

Outside of MUN, Wajid is interested in international security and economics and currently works in the field. In his free time, he likes to read pretty much any Wikipedia article and books on history, politics, and philosophy, completing his travel bucket list, and spending time outdoors as long as it's not winter.

Co-Chief of Staff

Ziyad (he/him) is in second year studying Political Science and Industrial and Human Relations. He's been participating in Model UN since Grade 9 and has enjoyed making lots of friends along the way. This is his second year being a part of NAMUN and first time as a member of the Secretariat.

When not doing MUN you find him jamming to some R&B and Rap.

Arthur is going into his fourth year at the University of Toronto, specializing in Political Science and minoring in History. He's been involved in the U of T Model United Nations community for the past three years, and is excited to continue contributing this year.

A fun fact about him is that he only drinks his coffee with orange juice!

Director of Equity

Amani (she/her) is a fourth year student double majoring in Economics and Political Science. She joined MUN for the first time as a GA Chair in her first year of uni, and continued in Equity roles at NAMUN to make sure the conference is the most inclusive and fun it can be for all delegates.

When she's not crying over her Econ grades, Amani can be found stress-baking, running, or reading the latest murder mystery out there.

Co-Director of Procedures & Training

Oafe (she/her) is a second year student studying Sociology and Philosophy at UofT, and is so excited to be a part of NAMUN’s team this year! Since beginning her MUN journey in 10th grade as a terrified crisis delegate, she has since been involved in conferences across both the high school and university circuit as a delegate and staffer.

Outside of MUN, you’ll likely find her taking power naps in-between classes, dyeing her hair new colours, or trying the newest Red Bull flavour. She’s looking forward to another exciting and memorable iteration of NAMUN!

Riviera (she/her) is a second year studying International Relations, Environmental Ethics, and French. She’s super excited to be joining the wonderful team at NAMUN for the second year in a row.

Beyond being active in the MUN circle, she’s usually found walking her camera around Toronto, working on puzzles and legos, or biking on the Great Lakes trail. Most of all, she’s super excited to meet everyone at this year’s iteration!
